Greetings Young Scholars!

Below are weekly assignments for all Social Studies classes.
Beginning of the Second Semester, Spring 2018
Intensive English serves the same group of students for all three years of Middle School, therefore the curriculum will change from year to year. Last year, with some exceptions, we pursued an American Literature (US History) reading list. This year we will pursue a more international, multi-cultural, translated (World History) reading list.
First period is longer than the other periods so that all student at Pescadero Middle School can do Sustained Silent Reading every morning. After at least 15 minutes students are encouraged to take notes on their reading, then write response to a "Freewrite" prompt. Thus, students begin every morning with quiet reading & writing.
